Just Another Day of Fun

Grandma Carol came to visit us at the end of the Month of October.  The boys had a couple days off from school which provided the perfect opportunity for a visit! 

Everyday that she was here, the kids packed as many games and activities in as they could.  We walked to the "Park" (the nearby elementary school playground a couple times.  They did arts and crafts.  And played lots of games. 

One of the crisp Fall days, Brayden asked what they could do and I mentioned them going outside to play or raking the leaves for me ;). They actually decided to do it! And the boys got super excited when I suggested they rake them into a BIG pile first and jump in them! This was a first time experience for them.

Grandma Carol had a blast, and enjoyed every minute of every day doing things. The jumping in the leaves was a first for them, but giving out the Halloween Candy to Brayden and Brock was a first for Grandma Carol. Loved it.

Oh I used to LOVE jumping in leaves! How fun! The trees aren't big enough here :(

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
