Counting Crows

One of Brad's birthday presents were tickets to see the Counting Crows. He was super excited not only to go see them (which happen to be a smaller venue) but also to get a date night with his wifey!
I made dinner reservations at Portland Prime. It is a steakhouse in Downtown Portland. It use to be called the Portland Chophouse, but went through several buyouts and changes until it became Portland Prime.  Yum!

The venue only had maybe 1000 people. It was a great show!!! Here are a couple pictures and clips:






We had such a great time. Dinner was fabulous, we had a little time to grab VooDoo donuts (AMAZING), and then watched a great show! Thank you to my mom and John for the gift and for watching the kiddos while we were out!

I am green with envy! I LOVE Counting Crows!! August and Everything After was the very first CD I ever bought, way back in '93! Looked like an awesome time!

It was one late night. We got home at midnight and made it to work on time the next day. Saw Counting Crows last Sept. at Maryhill Winery in the Columbia Gorge. They were awesome.

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
