Denver, Colorado Day 2

Well, Day 2 was another eventful day.  We decided to go to the zoo and then spend some time in the pool later in the day. 

At the Denver Zoo, we rented a wagon to pull the boys in (no one wanted to carry a 40 pound boy around the park).

The Zoo was big! Bigger than our zoo in Portland.  The boys had a great time checking out all the animals and the construction site inside the zoo.

The boys were hot (and tired) near the end of the trip so we got them snow cones to calm things down and regain control :).  And yes, their faces were colored by the end, but who cares it is all in the experience right!?!

We later, returned to the house and went to the pool.  There are no pictures from that experience because my camera and 4 boys with water guns are not a good idea! Just picture it in your minds :).

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
