Eagle Crest/DMB in Bend!!!

Long ago, when we found out Dave Matthews Band was coming to Bend, Oregon, we bought tickets. We made plans with my parents to rent a house in Eagle Crest and stay for 5 nights so we could go see the show.

The time could not come fast enough, we were so excited about the show!!!

Not sure this is allowed but croquet on the tee box as the sun was going down.  We were going to run for the house if any of the grounds crew came around. ;)

A little rocket action one afternoon! We almost lost one.  I lost it as it was coming down.  A grounds guy on his tractor saw me looking and said he would keep an eye and look for me. Sure enough, he came back about 15 minutes later with our rocket!

 And now for the show!  It was amazing! They performed an acoustic set and then a plugged in set.  We were able to be front row off to the side of the stage- really awesome! Brad and I bought my sister a ticket too and she got to go to her first DMB show in years!

And to top off the night, we caught one of Carter's drum sticks!! Oh yeah!!! Been waiting years for that to happen and finally.  It is going into a shadowbox frame for sure!

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
