T minus 44 Days...

Okay, here we are once again! 44 Days out from the March of Dimes walk in the beautiful Rose City (a.k.a Portland for all you foreigners :) ). 

We are walking again this year as a family.  I am even hoping I can make some t-shirts up for all of us.  My sister and her family have once again agreed to walk with us and I think my parents will be as well.

Now comes the fun part....asking all you lovely people for some money to support us and the March of Dimes mission of helping every baby get to full-term.

You can make your donation online safely and securely.  Last year we raised $605 as a team/family.  I set a goal of $650 for this year.  We always make $100 donation ourselves so that leaves $550 for the rest of you to contribute to.  We greatly appreciate any and all donations.  You all know how near and dear this is to our hearts especially after having 2 little ones with stays in the NICU.

We wish you guys good luck and good weather. Grandma Carol sure enjoyed walking with you guys several years ago, and dancing afterwards with the boys.

Yes, John and I (AKA parents) will be joining the Neeleys for the walk. We had a great time last year. It's a wonderful fundraising cause. Should be even more fun this year with the kids a little older. Hoping for a dry day!!

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
