Spring Fever

The kids are ready for some nice weather.  Two weekends ago they tagged along with Brad to pick up the T-Ball gear.  They then had to run outside once they got home and "test" it out!  I am ready for them to be able to spend some hours outdoors as well.  They novelty of the Christmas gifts are starting to wear off and they want to be entertained in other ways. 
We had a pretty mild winter here in Oregon.  Not much snow or ice.  We even had a few really nice days lately.  I know the East Coast has already seen summer like weather, but we are still waiting for it.  We even got snow a few days before Spring Break!  Really late snowfall this year has lead to an extended snow season on Mt. Hood.  I am hoping we get up there and get to enjoy it before too long.

So the first few weeks on March we have had some of this:

Mother Nature is totally messing with us! But we start T-Ball in another week so hopefully the weather cooperates with us and allows for another great T-Ball season!

That is how Colorado teases us all the time! We love it though, keeps you on your toes! ;)

Summer arrived in NC last month. Love all the pics, especially the one with the boys in the tree. Can't wait for those T-Ball pics.

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
