Zoo Lights 2011

Brad and I have not been to Zoo Lights in years.  It was pre-children time since our last visit.  We thought it would be enjoyable for them, especially with the train there.

We ventured off the night before Christmas Eve.  The place was packed! We arrived about 6 pm to find the parking lots full, shuttle buses being used and lines to get in. We were all bundled up though and hunted down some people for their parking spot.  :)

My parents and sister and her family joined us for the festivities.

We walked through the beginning enchanted by the lights guiding the pathway and the sounds of the trains passing.  Most of the animals were tucked away for the night.  We did get a glance at some monkeys and the elephants.

We also saw the line for the train which was 1 1/2 - 2 hours long!  We decided to check back after seeing more of the lights.

Here are a few glimpses at the magic we saw:

With the train line still hours long, we decided to call it a night.  We missed the train ride, but it was still a wonderful evening.  May be one of our new annual traditions!

Looks like fun. We remember going to a Christmas Light Event with you guys. I believe it was at a race track?
