Fall is upon us....

Fall has most definitely hit this Neeley house.  The leaves are falling in the yard, the grass is a deep shade of green again, I planted some bulbs that I am super excited to see in Spring, and decorations have joined our household.  We started decorating as soon as October began.  We have added small touches here and there, but now that we are just a week away from Halloween I think we have finished.

Another sign of Fall in our house is sickness.  Yup, all of us are currently or have been sick.  The kids mainly.  They have had coughs that I cannot for the life of me get to go away, really, I think we are on week 3-4 of them coughing. :(  And wouldn't you know it since I have been taking care of them and trying to cure them of all this illness I am starting to get it now.  Hopefully it all passes soon!

Back to the fun now.  I took some pictures so you could share in our Fall happiness around the house.

Your house looks beautiful! I am so glad that I got to see it in person. It was so exciting having the boys ring the doorbell and me giving them candy.

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
