TBALL FINALLE!

T-ball was a great adventure this year.  We really did not know we were signing up for so much when Brad took the job of coach.  Putting together schedules, calendars, sending emails, making phone calls and then actually having to be to every game or practice at least 15 minutes early (OK there were a few we were only 5 minutes early)! 

Brad and I have to say though that it was so much fun! He has even said that he will probably be coaching next season as well.  Brock will be old enough to play and he and Brayden will be on the same team.  We only had to rain out one game.  We got pretty lucky with our schedule and the weather!  Our "Little Tykes Under the Lights" was re-scheduled and the boys had a blast.  They thought it was so cool to be playing on the "big field!"  They were all surprised (so were we) when they received medals at the end of our second game that night.

They all improved so much throughout the season.  Brad did such a great job with them.  He taught them to have fun.  They learned positions, stance, how to get outs, hit off the tee, and even be pitched to.  We had our End of Season Party last week.  We surprised the kids once again with trophies (though I think some of them expected it).  All the parents were super appreciative of the job Brad did with the kids.  We made some connections with some of the parents as well and I hope they continue to grow into great friendships.

How adorable! Sure brings back many memories. That cake sure looks GOOD! We always knew that Brad would be coaching when he was a DAD. Good job, Brad.

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
