Eagle Crest

This year for Father's Day weekend we made plans with my parents and my sister and her family to spend the weekend in Eagle Crest, Oregon (click on it if you would like to check it out :)).  It is located in Eastern Oregon about 3 hours from Portland. 

One of John's friends, actually he is my dentist, has a yearly golf tournament there.  John and my mom went last year and invited the rest of us this year.  They rented a super nice house for all of us to stay in.  We all packed up and headed out Friday afternoon.  The golf tournament was Saturday.  The boys were so excited to bring their bikes and be able to do some of the activities they have available there. 

Friday night was filled with riding bikes and checking out the house and the facilities of the resort.  Saturday Brad, Tony, my mom and John went golfing in the tournament.  It rained on them a little, but they had a good time none the less.  Brittany and I had all the kids in the house playing games.  I took my 3 just before lunch to go check out which pool and sports center we would be going to a little later.  After lunch we got the kids ready and headed out once Brad and the gang was back from golfing. 

The pool we selected was indoor.  There was a kiddy pool and a larger pool.  The kids all got in the kiddy pool.  And here is where it all went down hill! Upon stepping into the pool, Isabella lost her footing and fell face first into the water where she panicked and Brittany had to jump in with her clothes on to pull her up!  The boys continues playing as though nothing happened.  Brylee, who usually loves the water, was scared and only would sit on my lap on the steps.  Brad took turns taking the boys into the larger pool.  He then went outside into the hot tub.  Brayden was looking out the window at him and started walking back to the kiddy pool when one leg slipped into the large pool and he cut his knee on the rough edge of the pool.  With blood coming out I went for first aid at the front desk.  Once he was bandaged he went back into the pool and eventually out into the hot tub with Brad.  Brock and Dominic were going from the kiddy pool to the adult pool steps.  When Brayden came back in he joined in too.  All was well, until Brad and I were talking about getting ready to go, we look over and Brittany had once again jumped into the pool fully clothed to rescue Brock.  He had stepped off the stairs in the adult pool and could not get his footing to get back up!  So crazy!!! 3 accidents, 3 different children.  We had had enough and packed up to head out.  Brad and I decided that there needs to be more swim lessons had by our children for sure!

With everyone feeling better we finished the evening with Brad and Brayden playing some tennis at the indoor courts.  Brad gave him some lessons while Brock was their ball boy!

We had a lovely dinner prepared by John, followed by the kids getting baths and into bed before we started a bootleg version of the "Hangover II" movie.  It was super funny and dirty (but what do you expect).

Sunday we had breakfast and headed off with the kids to play on a miniature putting course they have.  It is actually one of the coolest course Brad and I have ever seen! It was just like a regular course, but scaled down.  Hills, sand traps, trees, even a water hole.  The boys had so much fun (minus a timeout for Brayden), they started playing some of the holes over again once we finished.  Brylee hung near me and drug an extra club around.  She thought she was playing too!  Brad gave her a ball and she loved putting it into hole and pulling the flag out. 

We gave Brad and John their Father's Day presents, packed up and headed home. 

All-in-all we had a great time! Happy Father's Day Brad! You are such an amazing dad.  Our kids are so lucky to have you.  Thank you for being a ROCK STAR of a DADDA!!!  And a little shout out to John for always being there for me and my family, not just trying to fill a void in my life, but being a true friend! Thank you!!!
