JUMBO Slip-N-Slide

Tuesday, we headed over to my mom and John's house for a little visit.  My mom had surgery on her leg on Monday to remove some varicose veins and we wanted to see how she was doing, plus the boys loving going out to their house!

We visited with my mom and Grammy read them some books.  John cooked us some lunch and then the reward for eating it all gone was the SLIP-N-SLIDE!!!!! This thing is HUGE and it has been about a year since the boys went on it.  My parents have the perfect set up for it.  I didn't bring my suit, but I was tempted to go down in my clothes!

While Brylee was napping and my mom resting her leg, here is what we were up to:



Thank you Grandpa for sliding with us! We had a BLAST! Next time I am going to join in the fun too :).

Wow, that is a huge one. No wonder when I wanted to buy the boys a slip n slide, you said you guys really didn't have the space for it. I used to slide with the boys all the time.

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
