Dozer Day!


So, I got a call from a friend asking me if we were going to Dozer Day(thanks Jana). I had not heard of it before, so I thought I better look into this. The next day I saw a spot on the news about it and thought the boys would LOVE this!

A fundraising group in the area that does work to raise money for local children, animals, the environment and charities puts this event on every year. It is located at a rock site. They have bulldozers, dump trucks, backloaders, a crane, excavators- you get the picture:) Anyway, I knew the boys would love the opportunity to see this large vehicles in person! They got to climb on them and in most of them, we all rode in the back of a large dump truck and they had a blast. We sucessfully tuckered them out with the days activites, yes mission accomplished and it was so much fun. I think we might go again next year and hope there is not as many people there!















The boys sitting in an ambulance- they got to push all the siren buttons and Brock turned on the radio and cranked it up! So funny!

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
