Happy Easter...

Easter was a joyous day for us and we hope that you all enjoyed your time with your families as well.



Our day started out by heading to church for morning mass. The boys then got to do an Easter egg hunt out in the courtyard after service. Brayden got a real kick out of it! There were so many kids running around grabbing the eggs, he was just excited to grab the few that he could. On our way home we stopped for breakfast and gobbled up some much needed food :) When we got home I had to run in before the boys to see if the Easter Bunny had left yet (really my quick time to lay out the eggs for them to find throughout the house and set out their Easter baskets too). Brayden was so excited he could hardly wait. He even said he saw the bunny in the window before he left. Brock found a few eggs and liked opening them all to find the jelly beans inside- he just kept walking over grabbing jelly beans and running away to play with a toy. Brayden found most of the eggs and was just sooooo happy that the Easter bunny had come!



After a much needed nap for the boys, we headed to my parents' house where the boys did yet another Easter egg hunt with their cousin Dominic. Afterwards, we had a nice dinner and cake (for Brad's birthday), opened belated presents and visited with one another. Brittany and Tony were there, as well as Tony's mom Patrice and her husband Steven. It was yet another lovely day together.

And here is what happened at the end of the night when I realized that I did not get a picture of the boys in their Easter outfits... it was bedtime and let's just say that Brock did not like me taking away his bottle :)

Once he got it back & Brayden gave him a nice brotherly hug:Now all is well in the world!

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
