The First SnowFall

Well, just a little bit ago we had our first Valley floor snowfall. Brad was working and the snow started in the afternoon. It did not look like much when it started...
Out the back of the house:

But when the boys got up from their naps and Brad got home, here is what we saw that evening...
So of course they had to go out and play!

Brayden was all about making and throwing snowballs!
Of course the Huskies had to get in on the action...

Brock wasn't sure he wanted much to do with it until Daddy got the sled out.


Needless to say it was a good time to get out and play. It backed up traffic for the evening commuters around town. It took them on average 4 hours to get home that night. Thankfully Brad left work early and got home after only about an hour and a half, he gave me a little scare as he pulled into the cul-de-sac and gunned it to get up the driveway. And after going sideways he did successfully make it into the garage without hitting anything (my car especially).

Here is a little video of the boys sledding down the driveway. Man they love that sled!

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
