State Chess Tournament

Image
Brock qualified to head off to the Oregon State Chess tournament! He picked up chess at the end of the last school when he participated in a after school club. Brock enjoyed it so much so that I asked one of our friends about the clubs/programs their kids were participating in to get some more information. She was super helpful in giving me information to get us started. Brock participated in 3 tournaments which was enough to qualify him for state. The state tournament was held in Seaside, Oregon (the beach).  We rented a house and loaded everyone and the dog up. There were pre-tournament games called, Bug House on Friday.  He didn't do that well in those.  I think a combination of nerves and time limits got the better of him.  Saturday he played really well, winning 2 out of 3 games. Sunday he had some tight matches, but ended up winning both. We were unsure about how he would place, due to their scholastic ranking changi...

Back at it

Well hello again blogging world! As, I look at this blog, I realize I have missed a whole year and a quarter now! WHAT!?! Those sweet pictures of my little people, important memories or events are all just stored in my head now and I have to actually remember them.  That might be asking a bit too much.  I have enjoyed my time looking back through some of the many photos on here and seeing it as a diary of these crazy young kid-filled years.  And now there is a big hole were I forgot to put them down. None the less, I am back now to write down more from our family.  Even though there is a lot missing from the last year, I am done kicking myself and am just going to move forward. So 2016 is here and moving quickly! At the present time, we are in full baseball season with both the boys.  Brylee and Brayden just finished some swim lessons and Brock just finished soccer.  So baseball is LIFE right now- 5 days a week. We do enjoy it though.  I am actua...

Winter Concert 2014

Image
The Winter Concert at the boys' school this year was for K-2nd grade, which meant that Brock got to perform with his classmates. They had practiced during music class and he even sang some at home.  :) There was a rehearsal during the day and then the evening performance. Brylee didn't want in the picture, but here are my guys before the show started: The school sent this video link of the dress rehearsal: Brock did really well! All the kids were adorable! So fun to welcome the holidays with the kids performing on stage. :)

Jamberry Nails

Image
I have recently started a new adventure with Jamberry Nails.  I am an Independent Consultant for them now! I am nervous and excited all at the same time.  I was introduced to Jamberry Nails about a year ago when my sister-in-law, Jenn said, "Brionna you have to try these!" I bought some from a party she hosted online and I have been hooked ever since! Jamberry Nails are non-toxic, heat-activated vinyl nail wraps, made in the USA - professional quality and 300+ styles to choose from. I love the fact that they last 2 weeks+ on my fingers and 6 weeks on my toes! Seriously! I have yet to find a polish that does that. I don't have the time or money to go into a salon every 2 weeks and have my nails done.  Shellac does last, but it is difficult to get off and always causes my nails to peel layers once I do get it off. So, here we are. I have set up a website and hosted my first online Launch party. I am introducing them to friends and family.  We will see where ...

My Birthday treat!

Image
So my birthday turned out to be less than exciting.  Brad was working on his car which decided to give him trouble on Friday and my birthday fell on Sunday.  He had to try and fix the problems so it could be operational for Monday and getting to work.  I understood, still just stinks it happened over my birthday weekend.    Brad had made some surprise plans for us to go out, but those got cancelled, I cooked dinner and spent some time cleaning the house as it was just another day.   He felt bad for how my birthday played out, and surprised me a couple days later with tickets to see Justin Timberlake! And these were not just any tickets, they were 7th row tickets! Yep, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!   I took my sister with me (Brad is not really a JT music fan). Brittany treated me to dinner and then we took off to the show.   It was such a great show! Justin Timberlake is a true artist.  He is a dancer, singer, actor and most importantly-...
