Final Spring swim lessons

We made it through! Two sports at the same time, no days off in the week, done and done!

The kids just had their last lessons for Spring.  I will sign them up for more, but it will be during summer.  I did have to write this post though to show off their skills.  I was in shock and awe their last lesson as to what they were working on!

I think they are all far less scared of the water than when we started.  They each made some big strides this time with their lessons and it makes me less nervous to have them in the water! We still have some work to do till they can swim on their own, but we have some opportunities coming up to spend time in the water.  So until next time!

WOW! I'm impressed! That looks like huge progress in just 8 lessons! That's a big step to be able to jump off of the diving board! Way to go boys! And Brylee looked like a natural. Hard to believe she wasn't sure about the lessons at first! I'd say you got your money's worth with these lessons!

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
