Wedded Bliss

Brad's best friend Tommy recently got married.  Brad flew to Ohio (where the ceremony was held) to be his best man.  Brad and Tommy have known each since college and have remained close and in contact even with 2,000 miles seperation!
Brad took an overnight flight to Cleveland the day after Brock's birthday.  He then had to drive an hour and a half to reach this lovely destination on Lake Erie called Lakeside.  It is a small area that Jessica, Tommy's fiance, grew up visiting with her family. 
Brad spent Thursday and Friday prepping for the wedding.  He helped the happy couple get things ready and took care of last minute arrangements.

A little rain and thunderstorm on their wedding day made for a candle light ceremony!
The wedding was on Saturday and Brad had to fly back early the next morning to make it for Brayden's birthday and the party we had planned.  Poor guy! Once again did an all-nighter to make it home in time.

We are both soooooo happy for Tommy and Jessica and wish them hapiness as they enter into a new phase in their lives.  May their love grow for one another each day and God bless them with a life full of strength, understanding, hapiness and respect.  Congrats Tommy and Jessica!

So I found this desk I don't know just over a year ago.  It was before we moved.  My mother-in-law was visiting and we spotted this kids desk sitting out at a neighbor's house with a Free sign on it.  Brad was sceptical and wondered why I picked it up.  It needed a little work, but I thought it would be great as an art desk for the kids.  Before: When we moved it came along with us.  I had not touched it up to that point.  And after we moved it sat for a month or so as it was not one of the top priorities at the time.  Late November (I think) we finally went and picked out some paint for it.  The boys and I decided on a bright orange.  Yes, we are talking "Construction Warning" orange! Peacock Lane

We took a trip to a local Christmas Landmark- Peacock Lane.  It is in Portland.  Every house on the lane decorates with Christmas lights.  Several do amazing things! I had not been since I was younger.  I had wanted to take the kids in the past couple years, but we just did not make it. We had a clear, dry night and took advantage. :)
